En-Chia James Liu, M.D. is a highly experienced physician specializing in pain management and anesthesiology. Before joining our team, he was the owner and attending physician at Riverside Pain Management LLC, a role he has held since July 2015. He also serves as Vice-Chair of the Department of Anesthesiology at Hoboken University Medical Center and has been an attending physician there since 2009.

Dr. Liu completed his fellowship in Pain Management at New York University Medical Center, following his residency in Anesthesiology at the same institution. He earned his M.D. from Tufts University School of Medicine and holds a B.A. from the University of Pennsylvania, with majors in Biology and the Biological Basis of Behavior.

In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Liu has contributed to medical research, focusing on pain management techniques and radiation oncology. His work has been published in several medical journals, and he is affiliated with the American Society of Anesthesiologists and the American Medical Association.
